The “2019” Defra-AES one day conference has been postponed from its original date of Tuesday 10th December, as a result of the restrictions on government activity during the pre-election period. The conference has been rescheduled for Friday 17th January 2020. The location of the conference remains the same, and as in previous years: Nobel House, 17 Smith Square, London SW1P 3JR.
The title of this year’s conference is Going to zero: UK agriculture’s contribution to climate change mitigation, and confirmed speakers include two former CEOs of the Committee on Climate Change in David Kennedy and Matthew Bell, Tara Garnett from the Food Climate Research Network, Rohit Kaushish from the National Farmers’ Union, and Vera Eory from Scotland's Rural University College, with a number of speakers and panellists still to be announced.
